Online Dispute Resolution

ODR stands for Online Dispute Resolution and it serves as an extra-judicial mean for online disputes resolution. The European Union through the n.524/13 regulation, has settled this service for the resolution of disputes (without going to court) that may arise between consumer and seller after an online purchase within Europe. The platform became operative since 15 february 2016.

The objective of the legislature is to make the extra-judicial resolution quicker and more accessible without therefore the participation of legal assistance throughout a friendly platform composed by two separate paths for the consumer and the seller. The disputes will have to be solved within maximum 90 days.
